Recent projects / Experience

Providing complex estate planning for a couple with a blended family, high net wealth and a very successful wholesale business. At the end of the process, the couple were satisfied that if the worst-case scenario happened, their children and business structures would be well-protected.

Joanne assisted a young woman whose partner died without leaving a Will. He had children from a previous marriage. Court proceedings were issued by the children for further provision from the deceased’s estate above what the laws of intestacy would have provided for them. Joanne assisted the young woman through the mediation process and negotiated good outcomes for both the client and the children in what were very sad circumstances.

Preparing Wills and Powers of Attorney for a husband, wife and young adult daughter, giving them all peace of mind about how their family would be looked after if any of them died. The young adult daughter is now about to be married, and came back to Joanne to update her documents as her family circumstances change.
