Wills and Estates

Rachel is a Lawyer in our Wills and Estates Team.

Prior to joining the firm, Rachel previously worked for boutique and medium sized law firms with a focus on complex estate planning and administration of deceased estates.

Rachel approaches her practice in a practical and friendly way, working closely with clients to understand their family structures and asset protection needs.

Understanding that her clients are often navigating a difficult time in their life, Rachel aims to provide support, guidance and practical solutions tailored to her client’s needs.

Rachel was admitted to practice in May 2021 after completing her Bachelor of Laws at Deakin University.

Legal area of expertise
  • Estate Planning including preparation of Wills (including Testamentary Trust Wills), Powers of Attorney, Appointment of Medical Treatment Decision Makers and Binding Death Benefit Nominations
  • Succession Planning for high net-worth families with complex financial situations and large trust structures including preparation of supplementary deeds for family trusts to secure succession.
  • Acting for Executors or Administrators in applying to the Supreme Court of Victoria for a Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration, including complex applications (informal wills)
  • Estate Administration including identifying and calling in assets, distribution of assets and preparation of Deeds of Family Arrangement
  • Part IV Applications (Testator Family Maintenance Claims)
  • Superannuation Death Benefit Claims

Rachel is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and a member of a Law Institute of Victoria Wills + Estates study discussion group.

Significant transactions
  • Created an estate plan for a family group structure valued at over $70 million dollars which included reviewing and securing the succession of over twelve (12) discretionary trusts.
