Danaher Moulton has advised the shareholders of Hewison Private Wealth on their partial sell-down to Pemba Capital Partners.
Founded in Melbourne in 1985, Hewison has grown over more than four decades to become one of Australia’s leading independent private wealth businesses.
The transaction with Pemba represents an important next stage in Hewison’s development, providing access to additional capital and experience to support the continued growth of the business, while preserving the client relationships, culture and values that have been central to its success.
The transaction is closely aligned with Danaher Moulton’s focus on advising successful private businesses, business owners, entrepreneurs and families across the lifecycle of creating, owning, transacting, protecting and transferring wealth.
In particular, the transaction reflects an issue increasingly relevant to successful privately owned businesses: how to manage a generational transition while preserving the qualities that have made the business successful and positioning it for its next phase of growth.
Danaher Moulton worked closely with the Hewison shareholders and management team throughout the transaction.
The Danaher Moulton team was led by Stephen Moulton and Edward Smith, working alongside Deloitte’s financial advisers.
We congratulate the Hewison shareholders, management team, Pemba Capital Partners and all advisers involved in the transaction.
