Commenting on the transaction, Steven Wambeek said:
“We were delighted to support the ActivateRail shareholders and management team through this transaction. They have built an impressive business in a relatively short period, with a strong reputation in the Victorian rail sector and a clear focus on safety, quality and customer outcomes.
Protech is a strong strategic fit and well placed to support the business through its next phase of growth.”
The transaction highlights the value of specialist capability in the mid-market, particularly where businesses have strong relationships with major infrastructure owners and operators.
